Will we go Kraze for Kiwi?

Today we experience the taste of frozen yogurt courtesy of Kiwi Kraze. The judges for this event include the regular judges, and guest judges Susannah and Grace.  We want to thank Susannah for bringing 2 for 1 coupons.

Kiwi Kraze is self serve frozen yogurt.  Customers can select from  over ten flavors, including: California Tart, Caramel Fudge Eclair, Peachy Peach, and Peanut butter.  All of the judges today selected at least two flavors.  Customers can get any size, which the judges seemed to like.  After the flavors are selected, customers can choose toppings.  There are fresh fruits (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, mango, Mars Bar, Marshmallows, chocolate chips, almonds and other nuts, gummy worms, M&Ms and so much more. There are also over ten sauces including White Chocolate, Cinnamon, Raspberry and Hot fudge.  The yogurt and toppings cost 49 cents an ounce.

Comments:

- Judges loved the product; each tried a couple of flavours with several different toppings and sauces
- Customer service was excellent; reps explained how to use the machines; even informed us of the average price ($10) if cup is filled to the top
-Location had a modern look; trendy colours and sleek furniture; lots of windows that looked on to the parking lot; shrubbery/flowers would have been nice
-Doors did not have a wheelchair button; large wheelchair parking spot
-Washroom was clean but had paint splatter on the floor; kind of plain when compared to the rest of the store
-Air conditioning was on too high; one judge commented about being too cold
-Most believed the cost was reasonable; average cost with toppings was $6.50; coupons were used so we got 2 for 1

Baskin & Robbins

For today's ice cream challenge, we attempt to visit Kiwi Kraze for some frozen yogurt.  Unfortunately, we find out that the location isn't open on a Sunday.  Instead, we decided to sample Baskin & Robbins.

We have two guest judges for today's event.  We welcome Susannah and Betty and thank them for their expertise.  We will be rating Pralines & Cream, Mocha Blackberry, Raspberry Cheesecake, Rocky Road, Coconut  World of Chocolate and Reeses Pieces Sundae.  All the flavors sound delicious, but do they taste as good as they sound?

Comments:

-The cost was very expensive for the amount received in comparison to other ice cream places
- Ice cream wasn’t packed down into the cone
- The taste for many ice cream flavours was disappointing
-Manager/Owner was friendly and concerned for customers; pulled down window blind without having to be asked; interacted with customers children
-Servers failed to offer samples
-Location didn’t have adequate seating

Andrei's Pizza- Awesome Pizza, but does it have Awesome Ice Cream?

Today's ice cream experience takes us to Andrei's Pizza.  Using a Wag Jag coupon we got 4 ice creams for only $9.  The judges selected Apple Pie, Vanilla and Black Cherry.

Comments:
 - Not enough selection of flavours
-Server very friendly but service was very slow; Server helped other customers with pizza pick ups in          between serving ice cream; Need more employees
 - Regular cone was stale
-Server acknowledged that he didn't really know how to scoop ice cream and that he made better pizza
Scoops of ice cream were very small and uneven compared to other places
 - Normal price of ice cream $4.90 each (very expensive); with wag jag coupon 5 ice creams cost aprox. $11

The Final Score:
Andrei's Pizza gets a rating of 76% or 3 scoops of ice cream out of five.

Ice Cream at the Pinery

In today's adventure we try the ice cream at the Pinery.  The ice cream at this location is also London Ice Cream.  We select Pralines & Cream and Moose Tracks.

Here are the comments:
- Excellent taste Moose Tracks; favourite flavour so far
-  Pralines & Cream had freezer burn
-  Server was very friendly, however service was very slow; more employees needed
